Hi, since some time (~2 month) I suffer from a strange problem. After starting my box I can not type any text into kdm and thus not log in. I have to select "Console login" from kdm and restart kdm manually from the console, and then it eventually accepts my typing. My keyboard is not the problem, I checked with another. I noticed that always after having this problem I can find some strange characters on tty2, as if the password I try to type into kdm ends at tty2. My debian is fully updated, and IIRC the problem came after an X-update. Does anybody have an idea where this is coming from?
