Yes, changes can be rolled back without a trace. 
But this special feature is not available to everybody, 
it's a privilege to be granted on the admin's config pages.  
Currently I know that luci (the admin) and myself can do that. 
There may be others. 

Besides every user can revert changes manually by creating 
a new version with the damage undone. 

I recommend adding "watches" to everyone interested 
in the integrity of the pages.  You'll get a notification 
email whenever a watched page changes.  
This way any defacement will be noticed and undone in a 
matter of minutes... 

We already had some instances of defacements there. 
Added stuff like "IEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" or "assholes!" in Spanish.
Did we make some Mexican guy nervous? ;-)
