I don't know about everyone else, but I personally need something like that. 
Something that let you do a backup to CDR, and also kept take of your files 
so that you can do incremental backups. Producing K3B project files and 
starting K3B running (with DCOP maybe) would probably be enough for me. That 
would make a good 1.0.

Further you could make it do stuff like syncronise new files to another HD per 
hour/day etc. That would be handy.
