that's a start...

yes. when managing files, it makes sense to have the Home page open. when web 
browsing one might have the web sidebar, bookmarks, and/or history pages 
open. the use cases are different enough that different sidebar set ups are 
not only nice, but have been requested ... it may even be in b.k.o somewhere, 
though i know it's been requested by users on IRC and in person.

yes ... pages added should be specific to the profile IMHO...
