I guess gnome should be provided too, but maybe not installed by default ?
Otherwise the user again still ends up with everything twice.
Nothe that I'm mean the deskop environment (panel, window manager, terminal, 
filemanager, you know...), not about gnome/gtk apps/libs.
Nevertheless the text-mode mc should really be installed default. And an 
easy-to-use terminal texteditor. Probably simply the one UL choses.
