That is great. Imho PyQT is perfectly made for rapid prototyping and little 
tools, much in the sense of VB. I think we could even "sell" it as the 
replacement.

Kexi can use SQLite as an backend which has the major advantage (also in 
comparison to the rekall databases), that it's very lightweight. SQLite is 
file based and doesn't require "complicated" database administration - spoken 
in the understanding of an enduser.

Also a PyQT-programmer might use Qt's own database system, which also supports 
SQLite (see http://doc.trolltech.com/3.3/sql-driver.html)
