AFAIK, you don't need to recompile gtk apps if libqtgtk is on your system. This librairie enable GTK+ people wishing to do so to use the qt event loop. Then they can use KDE dialogs as if they were GTK+ natives dialog. For more information : http://developer.kde.org/documentation/tutorials/qtgtk/main.html So we need it only for applications that depend on it, other GTK+ applications won't be disturbed by this...
