Bad mp3 playback with juk

Hi,

I have noticed that sometimes playing mp3s with juk over arts results in 
bad quality of the resulting audio.
Especially in low frequency ranges (like bass or bassdrum) the sound is 
not pure.
I use the latest kde 3.2 from unstable.

Has anoybody observed similar happenings?
