force application to open in KDE

I've updated to OpenOffice 1.1.1 and when I open it, it starts with the GNOME 
desktop appearance. Although I have GNOME in my system, I use KDE as my main 
desktop environment. The OpenOffice GNOME appearance under KDE makes it very 
hard to work on; icons' and text looks are horribly inconsistent and no way 
to adjust within that application.

Does anybody know how I can force OpenOffice, or any other application, to 
open using KDE's environment?
