Summary: atlantik: very dangerous misplaced "New Game" button and
other button weirdness
Product: atlantik
Version: unspecified
Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Version: KDE_3_1_BRANCH from today (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Linux
I was playing the most interesting game ever. A long and even game
with 1 opponent. I had almost lost several times, because the opponent
had 3 hotels in the light blue group and several thousand in cash. But
now I had finaly completed my hotels at violet and dark blue. The
opponent had lost his cash to me and started mortgaging. My victory
was near. I had to pay tax or something and pressed a button as
usual...
Then this fscking client left the game and returned to the game list!
I realized that it must had been a "New Game" button! And there was no
way for me to rejoin. I would have liked to play that game to the
bitter end (for my opponent)!
The buttons in the central area of the game board are very buggy. I
tried to reproduce the problem and succeded:
1. I connected 2 clients and played a game until 1 lost. Both clients
got the "New Game" button and I pressed them.
2. Played a new game until 1 lost. Both clients got the "New Game"
button. I pressed 1 of them and that client went back to the game
list. Now the other client showed a second "New Game" button!
3. I pressed 1 of the "New Game" buttons.
4. I started a new game and the client that got 2 "New Game" buttons
still had 1 left. Pressing it in the fresh game would cause a lost
connection.
NEVER SHOW A "New Game" BUTTON IN A RUNNING GAME!!!
I will attach screenshots of this and some other button crazynes I saw
while reproducing this.
