Sorry, after some further testing, sleeping ONLY succeeds when :

- CPU is in performance mode
-  display mode is MANUALLY set to "Only use built-in screen" with no external
display connected

Also I'm sending the laptop to sleep manually (pressing power button) instead
of waiting for delayed auto-sleep.

It seems connecting and disconnecting from an external source somewhat KEEPS
the "Only use external screen" mode active, even if no external display is
connected and built-in display is displaying properly.

Hope it makes sense...
