https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3D513071 --- Comment #12 from Rean <[email protected]> --- It doesn't happen simply by having Compositor Killer open; it happens whene= ver Compositor Killer is opened and there are other animations happening on the desktop, for example, opening Kicker or doing other things in Plasma Shell. I've noticed it with games: if there's a game running and it causes KWin to slow down in any way, if you open up stuff like the Kicker and move the mou= se, the mouse will lag. I remember this not happening at all in older Plasma 6.x releases.=20 And I know FOR A FACT hardware cursors weren't a thing in plasma's wayland session history years ago. I can go back to those times by disabling the hardware cursor completely using the KWIN_FORCE_SW_CURSOR environment varia= ble and experience the same thing I experienced when i first used Plasma's Wayl= and session in the early days in early Plasma 5.x releases. I'm not talking abo= ut KWIN_X11; I'm talking about KWIN_WAYLAND. In X11 you don't get cursor lag AT ALL. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.=
