https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=513071 --- Comment #17 from Rean <[email protected]> --- Ok, this might actually be caused by Plasma's animations. Anytime an animation is playing in Plasma while KWin is under load, it seems to be causing the cursor to maybe temporarily fall back to a software cursor during the playtime of the animation. Here's an interesting thing thou i noticed the issue doesn't affect the overview; the mouse stays buttery smooth going in and out of the overview while the compositor killer is running like even if i set my mouse to 1000hz it's still smooth. Unlike the Kicker menu's animation and wobbly window effect and the other animation effects like minimizing and maximizing windows, all those effects cause the cursor to lag. So the true cause of this might be the cursor failing to hardware accelerate during certain effects on the desktop. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
