            Bug ID: 524075
Summary: shrinking btrfs partition breakes it
    Classification: Applications
           Product: partitionmanager
      Version First 26.04.3
       Reported In:
          Platform: CachyOS
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

i tried to shrink a btrfs partition with KDE partition manager but it broke it.
had to use testdisk to restore the partition. what a pain.

you have to manually resize the mounted partition with for example "sudo btrfs
filesystem resize -50G /mountpoint/". failing to do so will corrupt it !

if correct resizing can't be done in kpartitionmanager please at least add a
warning if a user attempts to do that.

otherwise thanks for a great program that has helped me many times in the past.
regards
Philipp
