I filed it based on a visual glitch (screen rendering blurry after resume) that I had assumed was caused by the kwin_wayland crash described above. After reviewing the system logs more carefully, the two confirmed crashes happened over an hour before the blurry-screen incident, and kwin_wayland did not crash or restart around the time the visual glitch occurred, so the two are not actually connected. The crash backtrace itself is real and reproducible, but I don't yet have a confirmed explanation for the blurry-screen incident, so I'm closing this rather than leave a misleading report open.
