Yes, it seems that their documentation starts out explicitly saying "BTRFS",
but then gets lazy throughout. 

Before I proposed this, I went to see what it said on the very first page of
the official BTRFS documentation at https://btrfs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ and
it says:

"Welcome to BTRFS documentation!"
"BTRFS is a modern copy on write (COW) filesystem for Linux"
