It's here:

group");

    return d->mOwner;
}

If asserts were on, it would have indicated the group is invalid. The key it
was looking for is "thickness", which is valid, which means it was looking
inside a group named "[PlasmaViews][Panel SOME NUMBER HERE][Defaults]".

So evidently that group wasn't present at the time it was looking.

Groups for panels wouldn't be deleted from the config as a result of
disconnecting screens, so I suspect a timing issue may have caught the config
file in mid-write or something.
