I can no longer test this atm as I have moved the database to local (which
fixed the speed problem but caused other problems). It was running on a 3 disk
SHM volume with no further overhead on the NAS, so I am not sure multithreading
would have such a huge impact. I can't find an option to restrict
multithreading in the documentation, if there is I would be willing to try to
migrate from the Windows machine back to the NAS and test it again - I have
multiple PCs that access the same image library / albums and so I would much
prefer to have them all be able to use the same database instead of having to
scan the entire library and work off image metadata.
