I strongly disagree, this is quite important.

I'm surprised it's not clear to you, but here it is again:
When an action other than "do nothing" is selected for "when the laptop lid is
closed", and the checkbox "even when an external monitor is connected" is not
checked, there should be an additional option (probably a checkbox) determining
whether or not, unplugging the last external monitor while the lid is already
closed, also triggers that action.
Think of a non-laptop computer. You'd never expect that unplugging the monitor
would cause the computer to go to sleep, right? Certainly you would at least
like to be able to control whether or not that happens. Many of us who use a
laptop with an external monitor and the lid closed basically use the laptop as
a desktop computer. Most of the time, when I unplug my monitor, I either plug
it back in shortly after, or plug in a different monitor.

I wonder if you reminded those people that when you reconnect the monitor the
computer won't wake up.
