Hi,

I just found out about this project:

    http://smb4k.berlios.de/info.html

Smb4K seems to be trying to become a successor to komba2. It is
an "SMB share browser for KDE". Its screenshots look very
good:

Since we will not konquer all desktops of any large enterprises
within a single week, there will be requirements for cross-plattform
interoperability. Tools like Smb4K are crucial for this.

We should try to contact their developers.

Actions:

  * ask the eveloper for an interview on the "dot" to give his
project more exposure, also within the KDE community itself.
This may help him to find more developers

  * ask him to cooperate closely with the KDE/Enterprise/Debian
efforts (hey, they *do* develop on Debian -- or so their
    website says...)

  * in the longer term, it may be desireable to get his project
into KDE CVS, if he agrees.

Any takers?

Cheers,
Kurt
