Hi, We have entered the string freeze for GCompris 26.0! This is also the first official release of our administration tool for teachers: gcompris-teachers. Please get your translations ready before January 31st 12:00 CET. We plan to make the packages on February 2nd, and do the release on February 4th. The complete changelog is available in https://invent.kde.org/education/gcompris/-/issues/52. Regarding the strings: * There are around 65 new strings and 70 fuzzy ones compared to the previous release in the application (https://l10n.kde.org/stats/gui/stable-kf6/po/gcompris_qt.po/). * The administration tool contains around 420 strings (https://l10n.kde.org/stats/gui/stable-kf6/po/gcompris_teachers_qt.po/). * Its documentation contains 128 strings (https://l10n.kde.org/stats/doc/trunk-kf6/package/gcompris-teachers-handbook/). You can find the files to translate at: https://l10n.kde.org/stats/gui/stable-kf6/po/#gcompris (please double check in https://l10n.kde.org/stats/gui/trunk-kf6/po/#gcompris if the files are not more complete/recent). Apart from the main file (https://l10n.kde.org/stats/gui/stable-kf6/po/gcompris_qt.po/), it would be great to have translations for all the files if they are not already translated in your language in https://l10n.kde.org/stats/gui/stable-kf6/package/gcompris/ If you have more time, please check the translation of the website: https://l10n.kde.org/stats/gui/trunk-kf5/po/gcompris-net.po/ (the news for this version has been prepared so translators can translate all the files at once). To provide a good experience for users, we will only ship languages with translation percentage bigger than 70% in gcompris_qt.po for GCompris, and the same with gcompris_teachers.po for GCompris-teachers. Also, if you would like to record missing voices for your language, now is a good time to do it (https://gcompris.net/voicestats/ for the next release status). You can test the beta version with these packages: * GNU/Linux 64bit: https://gcompris.net/download/qt/linux/beta/gcompris-qt-26.0-beta-Linux64.sh (sha256 sum: ec086f5b1f4a6142332441224ed974c1f67b46e42e758be6378b1633e0f4932c) * Windows 64bit: https://gcompris.net/download/qt/windows/beta/gcompris-qt-26.0-beta-win64-gcc.exe (sha256 sum: 1a4a4d7578cc3c56cc0af8add916d8f2bd589582177c4293e7427a86fb30d9ac) * Android 64bit: - https://gcompris.net/download/qt/android/beta/GCompris-Android-release-signed-aligned-arm64-v8a-dl-26.0-beta.apk (sha256 sum: ef732ff854c4fb43465fecf44a3a0feef4c88eeb2e89f618e2000b9d68607492) * Android 32bit: - https://gcompris.net/download/qt/android/beta/GCompris-Android-release-signed-aligned-armeabi-v7a-dl-26.0-beta.apk (sha256 sum: 9858b6df313a76ec30721cb45e1f7f68ae21b707ba478d336f307ef05da396bc) * Sources: https://gcompris.net/download/qt/src/beta/gcompris-qt-26.0-beta.tar.xz (sha256 sum: c9bfbd7ca0e37ac1cb8b57a69acda2b4c9720f7f67fdb6ca33428f7a79478d05) And for GCompris-teachers packages: * GNU/Linux 64bit: https://gcompris.net/download/qt/linux/beta/gcompris-teachers-26.0-beta-Linux64.sh (sha256 sum: f9bf742dd71cf56ace18efce4d357cc3bb166da380be18628ec36c8504fa3564) * Windows 64bit: https://gcompris.net/download/qt/windows/beta/gcompris-teachers-26.0-beta-win64-gcc.exe (sha256 sum: 34e5127d4dd8410ae80ddaa64717297615c4da2523a07dd802eff4b0e7cf9d5e) Thank you all for helping to provide GCompris in multiple languages all around the world! If you want us to commit the files for your language, just send us the files directly, no need to bother the other people in the mailing lists. Cheers, Timothée & Johnny
