I like the fact that the errors are indicated on the spot, I would take it
to another level:
Having an option to either turn it off completely or display a small
indication icon that opens when clicked or hovered.

So the three options are:
1. Full widget above the editing area showing the error/warning with the
adequate background color.
2. Small indication icon on the bottom left/right in the editor area that
expands when hovered or clicked.
3. Disable completely.

I can create a mockup if needed.
