encoding problem

Hi,
I'm using Kate and my language coding is iso-8859-2. When I'm writing special 
characters in my language I see them correctly in the Kate. But when I save 
the document onto the hard disk with those special characters and then reopen 
it, I see only '?' instead of special characters. I do not know why it's 
going so, because when I'm preparing the document and writing special chars 
all seem to be OK (they are shown properly). Everything crashes after saving 
it to the hard disk. Please help.
