It would be nice if open documents were managed through a tabbed-window display, similar to the tabbed browsing in Konqueror.  I think the user should also have the ability to choose the location of the tabs (top, bottom, left, right).  For me, that would make it easier to see which documents are open.

Everything else in 3.1 alpha is looking great!  Congratulations.
