OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.19-jam0

1) Set a non-default text position on a Kate toolbar by right clicking on the toolbar and going to "Text position"
2) Restart Kate
3) Whine about Kate not remembering your text position setting

This works fine in Konqi/KMail/Konsole
