Compiler:          gcc version 3.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.0 3.2-1mdk)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.19-16mdk

When I select "small" Icons (right klicking the file-window->View->Small Icons) the icons are restored to "large icons" + "thumbnail preview" after closing and reopening kate. Kates general option "Restore View Configuration" is enabled. Changing the system-wide settings for icon-size and previewing has no effect on kate.
