Package: kate Version: 2.0 (using KDE 3.0.0 ) Severity: normal Installed from: Red Hat Linux 7.2.93 Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.3 2.96-110) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-3 OS/Compiler notes: If you are working with a long document (more than 2000 lines, for example) and the syntax coloring is enabled, kate works very slowly when, for example, trying a word search. Also, as you type a word, you can see that the cpu consumption is very high... Whenever, when the syntax coloring is not enabled, those problem does not arise, and kate works fine. I have Red Hat 7.3, and KDE 3.0. KDE 2.0 works fine with syntax coloring and large documents... I have not very good english... sorry Thanks.
