As Nicolas has pointed out, this is an invalid PO file, as two keys (msgids in this case) cannot be same. However, there is a brand new addition to the PO format (in fact, yet unreleased, but usable from Gettext CVS), which I think would be perfect in this situation: the context to the message. Then, the tool that converts from Mozilla's to PO format should do this: msgctxt "example1.label" msgid "string A" msgstr "translation B" msgctxt "example2.label" msgid "string A" msgstr "translation C" Now the key is msgctxt+msgid, so no problems there. This extra feature of PO format is supported (albeit in a raw way) in new KBabel, comming with KDE 3.5. But one should also install the new Gettext (the unreleased one :) -- Chusslove Illich (Часлав Илић) _______________________________________________ kbabel mailing list [email protected] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kbabel
