I'm not able to reproduce this with Dolphin 24.12.2 or built from git-master

-  Set Dolphin to Compact mode
- Use Meta+Left (or right) to make it take up half the screen

I also used quick tiling, and tiling to the top / bottom

Can you try creating a new user and seeing if it happens with that user as
well? If it does, please let us also know:
