However, whilst evaluating this, I realised that there is another component to the problem: If I *duplicate* my `$HOME/.bash_history` to another directory (I've tested `$HOME/Documents`), the problem remains. However, when I create a new file, the problem does not reproduce. Even more strangely, if I modify the aforementioned duplicate (at `$HOME/Documents/.bash_history`), the thumbnail recomputes, yet remains posterised. Consequently, the size of the file may matter. > Did you reboot or kill all your dolphin instances after updating ?
