Yeah, you're right. That's one of the solutions to the problem.
I would still consider user's home folder as part of the "local" path, root and
home (as in folder where users' home folder is created) would be part of the
full path in this case.

For a user who checks the full path would be
   / | home | userName | Documents | notes

For a user who unchecks it, with the change it would be
   userName | Documents | notes
This is how it looks now
   Documents | notes

It's not a big deal. I'm okay if we close this as won't fix.
