SUMMARY
The Ctrl+click multi-selection feature doesn't work when the mouse is moving.
This is a fairly severe usability papercut.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Hold down the Ctrl key.
2. Left click on a file while the mouse is not perfectly still. (even slight
movement is enough)

OBSERVED RESULT
The file takes the "outline" (whatever it's called) but it is not selected.

EXPECTED RESULT
The file is selected.
