One thing I couldn't find in the TODO is making knowit a kpart.
The advantages would be=20
=2D the integration of KnowIt in konqueror as a viewer for .kno files=20
=2D maybe integration in kontact

It would be great if I could use knowit in kontact one day instead of knote=
s=20
(which I personally don't like that much). I don't know if the kontact team=
=20
has planned the customization of the used apps, at the moment it's seems to=
=20
be all hard coded.=20

There is an (old) tutorial about converting an existing application into a=
=20
kpart http://developer.kde.org/documentation/tutorials/components/index.html

In kdevelop, you can choose kpart app as application type when creating a n=
ew=20
project, so creating a new one and importing the knowit code is maybe an ea=
sy=20
way to get kpart support without too much work.

Did you change the code significantly after the beta3 release? If not, I wi=
ll=20
perhaps try to add kpart support and send you patches.=20
If you did, could you please release the current code as 'alpha'?
