Feel free to develop a nice html/richtext editor widget :-) At the moment the data in Q/KTextEdit can't be modified easily, for example html source can only be appended, but not inserted... link support is implemented in QTextEdit but disabled... etc. It's really hard to do things with QTextEdit which are not intended by the trolls. Before developing a new richtext editor, we should have a look if the work is not done already in another project, afaik support for HTML mails is planned for KMail, so there has to be an appropriate composer widget...
