Is the Qt XML stuff (http://doc.trolltech.com/3.3/xml.html) not suitable or 
why libxml2?
So a new XML format is the next step and will take place before 1.0 version? 

Last time we discussed this you wrote:

In my opinion things like XML file format, support of kpart and other advanced 
KDE stuff should be added before 1.0 release, then 1.0 can be considered as 
"complete". 
Versions beyond 1.0 can add more features like mind maps and so on.
What do you think?
