I am going to list some of the issues as it may help others I am right now at getting the 389-ds-admin working It requires the apache module mpm-worker. In order to make this work, php needs to be compiled threadsafe. There isn't much writen on how to do this, but putting --enable-maintainer-zts into the config should to the trick.
