There's no set release plan for patches through packages, nor for fixes 
through upstream releases.

Depending on what patches you are talking about (we're upstream only 
for the packages listed here[1]), and whether or not the patches you 
speak of are actually in a stable branch on the corresponding git 
repository branch[2], they may be packaged to any given distribution at 
the packager's discretion, or wait for a new upstream release (to be 
published via [1] and to be announced here on the [email protected] 
mailing list as a new release, such as [3]).

If there's any specific ticket associated with a particular issue 
you're interested in seeing fixed for a particular distribution, I would 
recommend you take the ticket (such as [4]), click "Clone This Bug" and 
make it a task (ticket type) for the relevant packaging (select the 
correct platform as well, just to make sure it is clear what you are 
interested in).

This will make it appear on a particular radar, and so it will likely 
result in someone figuring out what et. al. would need to happen to make 
it happen.
