Hi Shawn,

That seems indeed to be a limitation in the support of the iCal standard from 
Outlook.

You could expand any such recurrence to multiple recurrences, in case that 
would help and Outlook would support it. So you would create one monthly 
recurrence-rule for every day on which the event recurs monthly. Of course 
that would imply that you collapse such recurrences again when writing it back 
to the server.

Alternatively I'd suggest to just preserve the recurrence in full detail (i.e. 
using custom properties), so the recurrence is only overwritten if it was 
actually modified. Depending on the facilities Outlook provides it could be 
difficult to identify when the recurrence has been modified though.

Worst case you'll loose part of the recurrence whenever the event get's 
modified, not much else you can do about it I guess.
