[Kolab-devel] [debian] Cyrus package incomplete (was: Re: cyrus-imapd.deb: formal Version 2.4.17, in real it is 2.4.3)

Hi Michael,

I had a quick look at the cyrus package for Debian. It seems to be quite 
outdated even though it ships a more recent version of cyrus than the official 
Debian wheezy package.

The Debian package applies a ptloader-ldap_user_attribute patch that is not 
used in the official package.

The CentOS package applies a few more patches [2].

Thankfully, we have the Cyrus release manager on this list who might be able 
to answer this question.

If a dedicated cyrus package is required, we should get it fixed. If it isn't, 
we should probably remove it from the Debian repository.

This is for Kolab's package. Debian's package ships cyrus-common and cyrus-
admin which includes those utilities.
