Hi there,

for a variety of purposes, I'm exploring the use of Cyrus IMAP 2.5 (no
release, git snapshots only) in Kolab 3.2.

 From an initial stab at functionality, it seems the current packages [1]
are functionally sufficient for a basic Kolab Groupware installation.

Functionality would include;

   - IMAP SEARCH=FUZZY [2] using Xapian-based full-text indexes,
   - XCONVERSATIONS, a feature used for context-based navigation of
related items from across multiple IMAP folders,
   - Event notifications, the basis for a set of additional features to
be developed for Kolab Groupware, that involve Archival, Backup and
Restore on a per-mailbox, per-message and/or per-context level,
e-Discovery and Live-Interception.

Each of these features is interesting for further development, for which
I would first like to enable the functionality in the core product.

Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?

Kind regards,

Jeroen van Meeuwen
