I just checked.
It seems to work for me without changing the /etc/amavisd/amavisd.conf file

What does this command show?
hostnamectl status
I get the fully qualified hostname for transient hostname:
59-centos7kolab16.pokorra.de
in CentOS7, you can set the hostname like this:
hostnamectl set-hostname my.test.pokorra.de

For me, hostname and hostname -f both show the full hostname.
