konqueror and umask

I'd like konqueror to comply to the same umask rule (002) as ordinary
interactive shells. To that aim, as suggested by someone, one month ago, i
have symlinked my shell profile to env/ 
  % ln -s ~/.zshrc ~/.kde/env

Yet not everything is set right. While the konqueror terminal emulation
works as expected, creation of new files from the menu is performed with
022 umask rule. I am wondering whether files in ~/.kde/env are actually
ever sourced.
Any ideas?
