I just upgraded my machine, running Mandrake Cooker, (close to 9.0), 
with KDE 3.0.3, qt3.0.5, Xfree86 4.2.1, gcc 3.2.

Good news is that kpovmodeler compiles out of the box.  Bad news is 
related to my new video card, ATI Radeon 7500.

X freezes completely when kpovmodeler starts.  Looks like the OpenGL dri 
drivers are causing this, as after disabling the OpenGL (by forcing 
PMRenderManager::hasOpenGL() to return false) kpovmodeler starts up ok. 

I wonder now how can I make kpovmodeler to use software only OpenGL?   I 
would not like to completely disable DRI, as Tuxracer works fine.  ;-)

I'll give a shot to CVS snapshot of radeon dri drivers as well, just in 
case something has been fixed.
