[Newbie] Menu errors

Just managed to install Kpovmodeler (and was quite chuffed
with myself) and then started a tutorial. 

However, I was a bit shocked when I noticed that the menus on
the screenshots of the tutorial were completely different to
the one's I've got (especially the buttons).

Any ideas what went wrong during install?
