External Authentication in Multi-Domain setting

Hi,

Is there a simple way to get Kolab to do external autentication on a
per domain base? 
Authentication pass-through is possible from 389 Dirserv using PAM
(based on ldap-tree) and I've implemented it on openldap (using cyrus-
imap saslauthd) for another solution. 

But as everything in Kolab goes through kolab-saslauthd I'm not sure it
can be setup so it will be usable from all aspects (all ways to access)
of Kolab.

I have Kolab16 using KolabScripts by tbits.net.

I hope to get some insights.
