Missing Calendar and Contacts entries

Over night (with no kolab updates AFAICT) my calendar and contacts 
entries have disappeared. The files are still on disk in the imap spool 
but they are no longer being displayed in the roundcube interface and 
they are missing from CardDAV/CalDAV.  Any hints on how to bring them 
back?
