Hi Thomas, hi all,

The subject line of this message just prompts me to state that I am a happy 
user of kolab using it on Debian 9 (stretch) which receives LTS support until 
June 30, 2022. I plan to keep using kolab to be able to be my own cloud 
provider.

I cannot say anything about kolab-syncrotron as I never felt the urge to use 
it. But IMAP, CardDAV and CalDAV work nicely on my end, with KDE kontact K9-
mail and davdroid as clients.

I was a bit afraid to update from Debian 8 to Debian 9 two years ago, but I 
was more afraid of migration, so I gave it a try and was able to do it 
(documenting some necessary steps on this list). Did you consider upgrading 
instead of migrating to a fresh setup as well?
