  I'll see if I can rouse VDG to get us some appropriate icons. However I don't think this is a blocker because the rule is pretty simple: for a shared /nearby edge, the window on top is the one that gets resized. This is visually hinted by the fact that the upper window shadows the lower one. It's also the behavior seen on macOS, Windows, and GNOME, so people are pretty accustomed to it and it doesn't seem to be a usability issue. We can do better of course, but I think it's not a blocker.
