  Doesn't really make a difference, especially for the reason given.
  
    void Compositor::configChanged()
    {
        reinitialize();
        addRepaintFull();
    }
  
  If there is an inhibitor present, or compositing blocked for any other reason the start() call from reinitialize fails.
