Kate release appimage - can't find gpg/checksum for download

Hi, a day or two ago I downloaded the appimage for Kate from the binary
factory KDE site (
https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kate_Release_appimage/), as
suggested on the Kate project website.

However I can't find any checksums or gpg signatures to verify the
download, is this not available for the appimage or am I missing
something?

Please CC me for any response, as I'm not subscribed to the list.
